Congratulations to Chris Aden in the Junior class--Chris was selected as a Kentucky Governor's Scholar for the summer of 2012! This is a highly competitive program based on academics, community service, citizenship, and involvement in extracurricular activities. We are very proud of Chris, and are also excited to announce that
this is the third year in a row that a student from Beth Haven Christian School has been invited to participate in the Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program. |

We would also like to congratulate Anna Basham, another of our high school junior students. She was selected to attend the Commonwealth Honors Academy this summer at Murray State University. This is also a highly selective program that is reserved for students with excellent records in academics, extracurricular activities, and community service. Anna will receive 6 hours of college credit during the summer as she participates in this program--that will bring her to a total of 18 college hours completed as she begins her senior year at BHCS. Great work, Anna! |

The 2012 - 2013 school calendar is now available. |

Lifetouch will be here on Wednesday, May 16th, to take team pictures of the girls' basketball and softball teams. The photos will be taken at 3:30 p.m.; all girls who are members of either of these teams need to go directly to the gym after school on that day to prepare for their photos. |

This year's Junior Ring Ceremony will take place in the BHCS auditorium at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18th, followed by our annual Junior/Senior Banquet at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. All Beth Haven events for the evening will end at 9:00 p.m., at the conclusion of the Banquet. |

The Kindergarten class will graduate on Tuesday, May 22nd, at 7:00 p.m. in the BHCS auditorium. We are very proud of all of our Kindergarten students' hard work this year, and look forward to seeing them back at BHCS to begin the first grade! |

Current BHCS school parents--we wanted to make you aware of a referral discount that is now available to you for the upcoming school year! Each returning family that refers a new family to BHCS for the 2012-13 school year will receive a 15% tuition discount*. There is no limit to the number of families you can refer; please help us get the word out about BHCS!
*Although a family can receive multiple tuition discounts for multiple referrals, the referral discount cannot be combined with any other discounts. |

We had an overwhelming response from our school children and families in our recent "Pennies for Patients" drive for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Our school goal was $300; all together, we raised a total of $1,195.94 for the program! |

Box Tops for Education! As of April 24, 2012, our total for the 2011-12 school year's Box Tops for Education drive was $1,891.65!! A portion of the funds was used to purchase a copier for our teachers, and the remaining amount will be used by the teachers for individual classroom improvements. This is the most successful Box Tops drive we have ever had at BHCS; thank you to all who collected and sent in Box Tops this year!

please sign up for the REDcard and designate Beth Haven as your school. Target will donate up to 1% of everything you spend directly back to our school! Please spread the word about this program to your family and friends. |

Attention Parents! If you or another adult member of your family plans to volunteer in your student's classroom as a room parent, or to attend a field trip at any point during the school year,
a background check form must be obtained from the front office and filled out at least 4 weeks prior to the party or field trip. Please take care of getting these background check forms in right away, so party and/or field trip dates don't slip up on you later in the year. Thank you! |

Parents--please be aware that the Administration and Board of Directors of BHCS do not monitor and are in no way responsible for the transportation of students to or from games or practice sessions, regardless of the location of the game or practice. Transportation arrangements for these and any other after-school events are to be made by parents at their own discretion, and need not be submitted to the Administration for approval. |
